El Campello town hall has announced fines of up to €3,000 for not picking up after pets on public streets.
Campaign posters carry the slogan ‘It’s not their duty, it’s yours’ and a dog can be seen carrying a bag of excrement or a small bottle of water, items that all pet owners must now carry when taking their pets for a walk.
