AUAN property rights association president Maura Hillen was presented with her honorary MBE by the British Ambassador for Spain last week.
Mrs Hillen, an Irish national, was appointed an honorary Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by the Queen earlier this year for services to the British community in Spain.
Ambassador Simon Manley presented her with the badge of the order in a ceremony held at the Saliente Sanctuary in Albox, where Mrs Hillen is also a councillor.
