A 13-year-old girl was badly injured in El Ejido at the weekend when she fell from a fairground ride.

The incident happened on Sunday night (April 23) during the town’s San Marcos festivities.

The girl, who suffers from achondroplasia (a form of dwarfism), was knocked out after being thrown clear of the ride known as ‘La Rana’ (the frog). She was admitted to El Poniente hospital with a fractured leg but was described as stable as the paper went to press.
