Smash and grab thieves broke into the Los Gurullos petrol station in Mojacar in the early hours of Monday morning to steal a tobacco vending machine, Costa Almería News can reveal.

The incident happened at about 3am when the premises, located next to a roundabout on the hillside village road, were closed.

This reporter had access to security camera footage which shows three individuals wearing hoods driving into the service station in a stolen Renault Traffic van. One acts as a lookout, while the van is used to obstruct the view from the road. A second thief is seen wielding a large club hammer as he begins hammering at the display window next to the counter.
