Veteran French film actress Catherine Deneuve will be awarded with a star on Almería city’s ‘walk of fame’ as part of this year’s International Film Festival.

The 73-year-old actress is being honoured for her contribution to film making in Almería, as she shot the war drama ‘March or Die’ in the province in 1977, starring alongside Gene Hackman, Terence Hill and Max von Sydow.

Previous recipients of the ‘walk of fame’ star, located outside the Cervantes theatre on Poeta Villaespesa street, have included Omar Sharif, Arnold Schwarzenegger and British director Ridley Scott. Deneuve will receive her award during the opening gala on November 13.
