A British teacher in Roquetas de Mar has been remanded in custody on suspicion of sexually abusing a 15-year-old pupil at St George’s British School where he worked.
Carlo Troiano, 39, moved to Spain after being sacked from a school in Cheshire where he was also accused of having sexual relations with a pupil, although he was cleared of the allegations in court in 2010.
The father-of-two was arrested by the Guardia Civil last month after the girl’s mother accused Troiano of a nine-month affair with her daughter, starting when she was 14.
