A British film crew has been shooting scenes in Carboneras for an upcoming TV drama series on Islamic terrorism.

BAFTA-winning film-maker and writer Peter Kosminky, who also directed the highly acclaimed Wolf Hall series, is making ‘Crossing the Border’ – a four-part fictional drama set in war-torn Syria.

Earlier reports said Kosminsky had been making a film for the BBC about the real life story of a British nurse serving in a Palestinian refugee camp in the 1980s.

But it has now emerged that the film will instead tackle the highly controversial subject of British Muslims who sign up to fight for the Islamic State.
