More than 63,400 people attended bullfighting events in Almería province last year – up by 12.6 per cent compared to 2014, according to the latest figures issued by the Junta de Andalucía.

Almería bucked the national trend, however, as the number of bullfighting events staged across Spain last year fell by 7.1 per cent compared to 2014, reflecting a steady decline that has been going on for more than a decade.
