MEPs vote to end sale of fossil fuel cars by 2035 in the EU


The European parliament has voted to halt the sale of petrol and diesel cars by 2035, rejecting attempts to weaken the proposal to move to electric vehicles.

MEPs hailed a major victory for the climate via the proposed ban on selling new cars with combustion engines.
