A STUDY launched this week will use satellite tags to track the movements of the orca whale population of the Strait of Gibraltar and the Gulf of Cádiz following the end of the tuna fishing season.
The information gleaned will be “vital for the Orca Conservation Plan being created by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment,” said the CIRCE association for the study and conservation of cetaceans, which is carrying out the study and has closely collaborated on the conservation plan.
