The turtle watch campaign – which is being carried out in 80 coastal municipalities along Spain’s Mediterranean – has two new recruits this summer.
The dogs have been specially trained by marine biologists at the Oceanogràfic sea life centre.
For the first time sniffer dogs are being used to locate nests, so they can be protected.
