Spain is preparing to receive at least 12,000 refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine at three specially-adapted centres – in addition to those housed directly through community initiatives.
One of the hubs is due to be at the former Ciudad de la Luz film studios on the outskirts of Alicante city, with the others in Madrid and Barcelona.
