A SAFE space for feral cat colonies where they can be cared for and tracked will be created in Guardamar de la Safor as part of a wider animal welfare plan.
Mayoress Anabel Ferrer says abandoned plots will shortly be cleared and reconditioned to make them suitable for the cats, and their care will be provided by members of the Guardamar Local Kittens’ Association.
They will be sterilised, fed, wormed, de-flead, vaccinated and generally monitored to ensure they stay healthy.
