Dog walkers are warned to be on their guard as processionary caterpillars reach the ground from pine tree nests.
The urticating hairs of the caterpillar can cause harmful and in some cases allergic reactions in mammals.
Our photo was taken in La Mata-Torrevieja park on Sunday, where dozens of nests can be observed in the pine trees.
