Renaissance man Leonardo da Vinci, famous for works such as the ‘Mona Lisa’

A forensic expert from Almería is studying the DNA of Leonardo da Vinci as part of an international project to discover more about the nature of the Renaissance artist and scientist.

The ‘Leonardo Project’, founded by an international team of scientists in 2015, aims to uncover new information about the ‘Universal Genius’, as he is commonly known, to be revealed in Italy in May 2019, the 500th anniversary of his death.
