Animal activists call for an end to bullfighting ‘madness’ following matador’s death

Animal rights associations in the province are joining forces to demonstrate against bullfighting in Roquetas this month, in an attempt to shame the town council into stopping the blood sport.

The news comes in the same week that bullfighter Victor Barrio, 29, was killed by a bull during a bullfight in Teruel, the first death of a matador in Spain since 1992
