Mojacar-trained teen dancer wins place at renowned UK performing arts academy

A talented young British dance student from Bédar has gained a place at a leading UK stage school, after her teacher encouraged her to apply by video.

Thirteen-year-old Lillie Desmond, who has trained at the Pro Danza Academy run by Nicky Mainstone in Mojacar since the age of six, will be leaving home in September to enter the prestigious Hammond School of Performing Arts in Chester, which is widely recognised as the leading provider of performing arts education in the north-west of England.
