It is loggerhead turtle nesting time.
Torrevieja town hall biologist Juan Antonio Pujol warned it is now ‘high season’ and mothers could be coming ashore to lay their eggs.
“They could turn up at almost any point on the Mediterranean coast and try to nest,” he stated.
