Residents in Almoradí suffered a shock when a 1.5-metre-long snake appeared in their home.
The local fire service came to the rescue and were able to remove the reptile and return it to nature.
A spokesman for the provincial fire brigade noted that the snake had ‘invited itself into the property’.
