A head-on collision between two vehicles caused a pile-up on the N-332 road in Torrevieja at around 20.30 on Tuesday night.
The provincial fire service reported that three people suffered ‘diverse injuries’ in the incident and were taken to hospital for treatment.
State news agency EFE reported that five other vehicles were involved in the smash following the initial head-on collision.
