The regional government is fighting to contain an outbreak of botulism ‘in the protected wetlands of the south of Alicante province’.
The environment department issued an ‘emergency declaration’ so the ‘necessary actions’ can be carried out.
They will be working principally in El Hondo natural park and ‘nearby areas’.
