The first health worker in Alicante province to have died from the coronavirus is a 59-year-old woman employed at Alcoy hospital, announced regional health councillor Ana Barceló.
The woman, who was not named, was a care technician taken on at the centre exclusively to work with people infected by Covid-19, according to nursing union SAE.
