Drones to detect dangerous driving

The DGT traffic authority has distributed the 39 drones which will be in use around the country this summer, with 91.2 million car journeys expected over the holiday period.

Minister for the interior Fernando Grande-Marlaska explained that the machines will ‘support the action of the 12 DGT helicopters’ which will be in the skies to check that drivers are following traffic regulations.
