A 44-year-old woman has been detained in Málaga on suspicion of defrauding a man she met on the internet. National Police believe she had claimed to be ill and on the verge of eviction from her home to persuade him to part with almost €80,000. He made 39 cash transfers during 2014 and 2015 before becoming suspicious and contacting the authorities.
