A new formula for calculating the regulated tariff (PVPC) electricity bill for households came into force on January 1.
A spokesman for the department of the ecological transition said the previous method had been ‘totally indexed to the daily wholesale energy market’.
The new formula will ‘partially incorporate the long-term price trend’
