THE SHAMEFUL behaviour of two British holidaymakers in Benidorm hit UK tabloids this week – albeit totally sensationalised with headlines such as ‘Bloodbath on the strip’ claiming ‘a machete attacker’ knifed two bouncers.
The incident actually occurred around 22.30 on Sunday evening when two young men were evicted from one of the many popular clubs on Calle Mallorca,
Large quantities of alcohol had been consumed and the pair got somewhat unruly when they were asked to leave.
Despite confusing reports on what happened after, the end result is that one of the two Britons and a bouncer ended up with stab wounds and taken to Villajoyosa hospital for treatment, although neither of them suffered life threatening injuries.
