A 15-year-old youth was detained in Santander last week after driving through a police checkpoint at speed. He was found to have passengers aged 15 and 12 in the vehicle with him. In a police chase the suspect reportedly drove “recklessly and dangerously”, until the car was found abandoned and its driver was discovered hiding in a nearby bramble bush.
