The Provincial Fire Service says the fire station at Periana will reopen this week. It was closed following an accident involving Nerja’s fire truck on July 29, which left the Service without enough vehicles for all the stations. The Nerja truck overturned at a roundabout in Maro while on a callout. No-one was seriously hurt.
