Murcia regional government has started work to prevent the flooding which plagues El Mojón on the coast of San Pedro del Pinatar.
The project is designed to prevent streets and houses from becoming inundated whenever there is torrential rain, and run-off from inland pours down towards the Mediterranean shore.
