Rojales local police helped the Guardia Civil to track down a fugitive wanted internationally for drugs and arms trafficking to an urbanisation in Orihuela.
The 43-year-old Dutchman was on the run from the authorities in the Netherlands.
An investigation was launched in March when information was received that he could be hiding out in Orihuela or the surrounding area.
