Panic broke out in Gata de Gorgos on Saturday when nine bulls were mistakenly let loose during a fiesta parade.
The town council has launched an inquiry after the animals charged through the streets during a fancy-dress procession involving children.
Spectators suddenly began running amok and screaming as a herd of bulls appeared in their midst.
Miraculously, nobody was hurt.
