The local police in Alhaurín de la Torre are investigating reports of around a dozen acts of vandalism on Halloween night, said officials last week. Incidents included burned rubbish containers, broken car windows and damage to the lock on a shop door. Opposition parties and a police union have stated that the town has too few officers, but the town hall said Alhaurín is “totally safe”.
