THE recent storm damage has caused millions of euros worth of damage along the Costa Blanca coastline – and Altea suffered like many other towns.
A section of the retaining sea wall along the front was destroyed, washing away part of the road used by hundreds of vehicles every day.
As an emergency measure, the town hall have shored up the massive hole created with boulders to stop the sea washing away any more of the road, at a cost of €790,000.
