A hectare of scrubland was razed in Maro on Friday afternoon, raising concerns amongst owners of nearby plastic green housing. Two aircraft were scrambled to support ground crews tackling the blaze which is under investigation and which may have been started by a small fire which then spread out of control. No-one was injured in the incident.
