Walking Football Spain unveils new crowdfunded defibrillator

WALKING Football Spain started life in May 2017 and their first team, WFS Marbella sponsored by BodyWorks Health Clinic, played their first Walking Football tournament in the Algarve in Portugal in November 2017.

Unfortunately, just after their second match in the Algarve, one of their players and popular Marbella figure, Gordon Powell who owned Chill Out Beds, collapsed and died immediately from a sudden heart attack.

A first aider was present at the event but they had to wait until the Portuguese paramedics arrived before a defibrillator could be administered. The shocking and unexpected death of a very popular figure in the team and in Marbella, made founder of Walking Football Spain, Adam Chandler, think that they needed to get their own defibrillator available pitchside at all of their games.
