Spain prepares for ‘no deal’ Brexit

POLITICIANS in Madrid are working on contingency plans for the United Kingdom crashing out of the European Union without a deal.
Spain has some of the closest ties with Britain within the EU bloc and its government is finalising preparations for both an organised agreed Brexit come March 29 – and a no deal scenario.
Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has taken charge of planning and it is expected the government will announce its arrangements next month, with citizens’ rights one of the main focus points along with the Gibraltar issue and that of Iberia airline operations under AIG UK-based management
