THIS ROUTE lies inside Font Roja natural park. It could be done on a hot and steamy summer’s evening, taking advantage of the height and tree cover to keep cool – or on a winter’s day when there’s snow on the summits of the surrounding peaks.
The natural park chiefs have named the signposted route after the Barranc del Infern (Hell’s Ravine), which the path passes though in the middle section. However, it is hard to appreciate that you are passing through anything that could be hellish or terrible. The ravine itself is hardly visible due the dense forest.
