A 71-year-old man was the first of two people to drown on the province’s beaches on Sunday morning. He was pulled from water off La Misericordia beach in the capital, while the second victim, a 58-year-old man, got into difficulties while swimming off Torre del Mar. Formal investigations into both deaths have been opened.
