Spain’s Agency for Medicines and Health Products has banned the marketing of a dietary supplement described as being based on Asian honey and medicinal plants. Analysis of Honey Alpha has shown that it contains sildenafil which is marketed under brand names including Viagra. The agency has recalled the product because of its possible side-effects, particularly in those suffering cardiovascular problems.
