A group of 300 sub-Saharans launched an attack on the border fence between Morocco and Mellila early on Tuesday. Police said around 100 men reached Spanish soil as officers were pelted with stones, kicks and blows when they tried to repel the invasion. Three Guardia Civil officers required medical treatment and a number of vehicles were damaged.
