Bumpy Roads

Investment in Spain’s roads is reported to have dropped to the lowest levels for 30 years. New data show that nationwide only 0.4% of GDP is being spent on highways infrastructure, a figure not seen since 1986. The government says local and regional authorities have cut back spending on road maintenance and further reductions are likely.
