Marbella has reached an agreement with the Environment Ministry for the creation of beach-protecting breakwaters in San Pedro and between La Bajadilla and Nagüeles beach. The aim is to put the design contracts out to tender this year, with work to be carried out beginning mid-2018. The town hall has offered to put up the €11 million cost, with the ministry to pay it back in instalments.
