A group of 12 Spanish legion commanders and troops, from the Millán Astray regiment based in Montejaque near Ronda, have travelled to Senegal for a training mission with local soldiers. The troops will be spending their time teaching the Senegalese force about desert combat and patrol operations, and carrying out navigational exercises. The legion said the objective is to “strengthen the capacities” of the local military.
