Protestors have knocked down a headless statue of Franco at a controversial exhibition in Barcelona, after it had been pelted with fruit and eggs. The event which opened 10 days ago examines the military leader’s legacy. Last Thursday, three youths jumped over the fence protecting the statue and toppled it to the ground, after which the smashed exhibit was removed to the applause of onlookers.
