ANA Julia Quezada, the confessed killer of eight-year-old Gabriel Cruz in February last year has been sentenced to permanent reviewable imprisonment.
This is the first time a woman in Spain has been delivered such a sentence – only approved in March 2015 – which is now the maximum penalty to be applied in the country for any crime.
