REGIONAL health authorities have started the ball rolling to ‘buy back’ the privatised Marina Alta district medical service.
Over the past seven years, Dénia hospital and the GP surgeries serving the district’s 33 towns and villages have been run by the private firm Marina Salud. Patients, healthcare workers and town councils in the Marina Alta have been clamouring for the regional government to take back the running of the service.
