The weekend downpours are allowing Costa reservoirs to reach levels unseen for years.
GUADALEST reservoir reached a peak of 11 cubic hectometres on Monday – close to its maximum capacity of 13 cubic hectometres.
The Amadorio reservoir in Villajoyosa had surpassed the 50% mark on Tuesday and experts forecast it could be full (16 cubic hectometres) this weekend as water continues to enter it.
