A long-delayed new sewage plant that will serve parts of Málaga city as well as Alhaurín de la Torre, Alhaurín el Grande and Cártama, is finally set to move forward after a final agreement was reached this week between the Junta de Andalucía and the municipalities. The €74 million project is expected to be put out to tender next year, with a target completion date in 2021.
