A Barcelona court has ruled that the city is obliged to hang a portrait of King Felipe in a “place of honour” in the town hall. In 2015, after the city council removed a bust of the monarch’s father, it did not replace it with a likeness of the present head of state. Barcelona’s council is expected to appeal the ruling to Cataluña’s High Court.
