Mijas town hall announced last week that work on a new section of the town’s beachfront walkway project is to begin next month. The section, a 1.5-kilometre stretch between the El Capricho and El Juncal beachfront chiringuitos, is scheduled to be completed by April at a cost of €900,000 to the town hall. The final section of the walkway, between La Cala and Fuengirola, is awaiting regional and national government approval before plans can move forward.
